Democrats significantly outperformed their 2024 result in the deep-red House district, adding to a string of strong showings. In Wisconsin, Chris Taylor, a liberal judge, won a seat on the state’s Supreme Court.

"Mr. Fuller, who was backed by Mr. Trump, had been heavily favored to fill the remainder of Ms. Greene’s term in the deep-red district. But the Democratic candidate, Shawn Harris, put on a strong showing. The district was on track to shift 25 points to the left, the biggest swing toward Democrats in a special election since the start of 2025 and a heartening performance for the party heading toward the midterms in November.

Fuller won with 56% of the vote [by 12 points], against Harris’s 44%, according to the Associated Press, a result that comes after Greene secured the district by 28 points in 2024 and 32 points two years earlier.
